Cover Critique and Chapter 1 Review!

This cover, y’all! It’s gross and amazing and totally perfect in every way!

It’s simple and doesn’t need to be flashy to do heavy lifting here. We all know about Pride and Prejudice.

I’ve watched both the bagillion hour movie and the Keira Knightly movie! I’d love to watch the Zombie version eventually, but for now, I’ll stick with the book.

Okay, don’t come at me with pitchforks, but I haven’t actually made it through the entire book before.

I find the style kind of hard to get through. It’s a bit of a slog TBH. The old way of speaking, the elaborate dialogue with fluffy words. I know, I know, it was written in a different time. I got it…

Hence why the movies were a tad more engaging for this ADHD squirrel brain of mine…

A bit more flashy, visually nice, and had a pacing that wasn’t held back by my lack of focus.

But, “what is this?” You say? Art thou we not speakething about doth Prejudices and Pride that hath protest against the undead???

I’m glad you asked….!

The zombies version in written form is still kind of a slog for me…

BUT!!!!

The zombies addition is entertaining because I can’t help but imagine Keira Knightly’s version’s cast, and Mr. Bennet sharpening his sword and mending his crossbows and suddenly morphing into Normal Reedus’ Daryl Dixon and being a complete bad@$$!

And I’m not even sad about that morph in my head!

Mrs. Bennet, though???

She’s exactly how I remember and still drives me bananas…

Anyways, I’m not necessarily looking forward to the pros, but I am looking forward to the satire and chaotic mess that will inevitably accompany a zombie romp!

So far, the rating is a solid sparkling water, air, cozy blanket, snooze button, nose exhale.

Aaaaaaaand that’s a wrap!
